The Marlowe family has kept these sixty acres since 1908. In 2017 we opened the property to a small calendar of weddings, with the same attention you'd hope your own grandmother had given the place.

A working farm doesn't need a wedding business. The land pays for itself. We started taking bookings because six families a year felt like a fair number to share the place with, and because the barns needed a reason to stay standing.
Chapter I
Sixty acres on the Wisconsin River, ten miles south of Spring Green. The main barn, the milk house, the orchard, the field below the road. A working farm in every season, given over to one wedding at a time, six weekends a year.
"We've never advertised. The bookings come from the wedding before."
Chapter II
A wedding here runs from the morning to the small hours. You have the whole property. We do not run another event the day before or the day after. There is no second seating.
Morning / 09:00 to 14:00
The milk house has been the bridal suite since the practice started. North light, a clawfoot tub, a long farm table for the florist. The groom and party use the old caretaker's cottage across the gravel. Both are climate-controlled. Both have private bathrooms.
Ceremony / 16:00
Most ceremonies happen in the south field with the river behind. Couples wanting weather-protection use the orchard, where the apple trees give shade and the cidery rails frame the aisle. Either way, the ceremony seats one hundred and forty.
Evening / 18:30 to 01:00
The west barn was rebuilt in 2019 with new beams sourced from the property's own stand of oak. String lights run the full length of the loft. The dance floor sits at the south end, the bar at the north. Last call is at half past midnight.
